Stitcher Options (per person cost)

Option 1 Cost per person (sharing room with two queen beds, 3 nights accomodation, all meals, stitcher package) $699
Option 2 Cost per room - Sole occupancy room (one stitcher/one queen bed ), 3 nights accomodation, all meals, stitcher package). If you will be accompanied by your non-stitching spouse or companion then you must also choose Option 4 below. $799
Option 3 Commuter - cost per person (stitcher package, all meals excluding breakfast) - this package does not include any accommodation. $499
Option 4 Meal package only (this package is only available (and is compulsory) to a non stitching companion/spouse sharing with a stitcher in a Sole occupany room) $150

When selecting Option #1 (Double Room Occupancy), if you know another stitcher with whom you would like to share a room, please tell us. Otherwise, we will attempt to match you up with another stitcher.

There are only a small number of single rooms to be allocated on a first come basis.

Triple occupancy (3 beds) rooms are only available on request - please ask.

A non-refundable deposit of $150 is payable on making your booking, with the balance payable by August 24, 2011.

If you would prefer to pay the balance off monthly, then please let us know.

Extra Night 

Come a day early and enjoy the magnificant New Hampshire scenery! You must select the same room type as for the stitching retreat above. You'll need to make your own arrangements for meals until the welcome reception. 

Option 5 Additional night accommodation per person (night before retreat) - sharing with one other person $55
Option 6 Additional night's accommodation per room (night before retreat) - sole occupancy room $110

Autumn 2011 Stitcher's Package

This includes classes with our guest teacher and materials.

The autumn 2011 class project focuses on an 8” miniature Shaker chair. The beauty of nature and the simplicity of the Shaker lifestyle are influencing this very special class project, which will have a floral focus. We will be stitching a “seat” for the chair - along with a scissor fob “pillow”, a pin pillow (which will attach to the top rung of the chair), and a needlebook “rug” – giving you a unique display set of needlework smalls. The designs are in the early stages, and I am hoping to include a framed sampler that will complement/accompany the smalls. 

Class will cover stitching of the sampler and needlework smalls, working any specialty stitches, finishing techniques for each of the smalls (including attaching the “seat” of the chair), personalizing your pieces, and making twisted cord. Plan to complete your chair “seat” in class.

Each piece will be stitched on 32-count linen (type/color to be determined) with Weeks Dye Works cotton floss.

Students should have previous experience working on linen or linen-like fabrics and should be comfortable working from basic stitching diagrams and cross stitch charts. Students will need their favorite stitching tools or basic sewing kit (sharp sewing scissors, ruler or tape measurer, writing utensil, extra needles, a hoop or Q-Snaps, etc.). If required, student will need to provide their own additional lighting or magnification (remember, if bringing "plug-ins", please bring an extension cord).

Cancellation Policy

We reserve the right to cancel in the event of insufficient numbers. In that case, you will receive a full refund including deposit.

You are able to cancel no later than August 24, 2011 with a full refund of any payments made prior excluding the non-refundable deposit of $150. There will be no refund for cancellations after August 24, 2011.

We strongly suggest you have travel insurance in case you have to cancel due to illness or travel disruptions.
